i have been following this thread for 10 days now. i read and tried t learn what i can.

finally i had to report problem which i am facing, but before that kudos to all members here who are helping others learn.

i am using a software which is protected by c r y p k e y 6.5. i had valid licence keys also. what all i did is mentioned below

1. i generated user key hash (2) by from the valid site code and key. i tried it in 5 machines (computers) it only worked on one with 2003 server. on xp and other OS it accepts the key but after that gives an error.
2. i tried to find out user key from almost all the exe and dll files which i could relocate to the software but could not find one. i used ollydbg, winhex, PE viewer and ustrref.

Errors that i am getting

1. on one machine it says licence has been moved, cannot run
2. on other machines it gives error which is attached

some of the working codes are

according to site codes u give is
crypkey libraries v7.
Company number is 496 -- i think we dealt with this program
somewhere before on this forum; go through and check maybe
user key already been published.
Also the site keys are using level and option bits both =0 which is
quite unusual.
U sure u have checked all dll files in windows/system32 ?
Reinstall program and watch carefully where files go and remeber
names that go to windows/system32.

plz help me, i can't find the userkey & masterkey.

2 things I noticed.
Sitecode says allow easy license but sitekey says no

I think the main point is look at the sitekey your generating the user hash and user seed should be the same.
When you generate the key make sure your getting the right user seed.
That might be your only problem.

Let us know if any of these work.

Mozzie, the company # is only 1 number away from the program I fixed :) That might be what you saw. I almost thought he was
"fixing" the same program :)

the software is a engineering software, which may not be very popular. the user seed is different for all the installations. I have installed it on 10 systems now.

the files which are going to system 32 directory are all related to crypkey.  their is only one  exe file of the program. it is a very small program with one screen only written in .net.

I have installed it on a new system now and the site code which it gives now is

my observations when installing the program

1. when i installed the program no files were added inside winnt , system and system32 directory.
2. the program gets installed in the program files.  their is a files to install NT support drivers for crypkey. when this installer is clicked then 3 files are added in system32 and 9 in winnt directory.
3. the main program is a single exe file and one .ckn file.
4. the other files inside the folder are 3931462._req, 3935965._an, ck16rmv.exe, cki32j.dll, cks.exe, crp32001.ngn, crp9516f.dll, cryp95f.dll, hdsn1.dll, setupex.exe (to install nt drivers) and setupex.xco
5. hidden files inside the folder are procalc.41s, procalc.ent, procalc.key, procalc.rst
6. contents inside the hidden files
           procalc.41s : blank
           procalc.ent : D4D277CDE74350
           procalc.key - Do_NOT_DISTURB
           procalc.rst - Do_NOT_DISTURB

this is new installation and i have not tried any key yet.

Can you provide a link to the software?

I used a reference to the program earlier and the user hash seed and user hash were both the same when generating valid keys.
If different I am not sure they would work, that was my point.

Do you use ckinfo to get sitekey?

I used your sitecode to get the start of information then just apply ckinfo
to get a good site key.

Where did you get the site code from?

All is about the GV Matrix 6

Here are my steps so far:
1.        Install GV Matrix 6
2.        Downloaded CKInfo.rar (crp32dll.dll, crp32002.ngn, GVMATRIX.ckn, GVMATRIX.lic, StudentKeyCreator.exe)
3.        Copy all these files and replace  in C:\Program Files\Matrix60
4.        Downloaded ckInfo.exe(v.1.0.9.0) + ckinfo-scripts
5.        Run ckInfo.exe, use CrypKey Site Key Generator.ckInfo
6.        Run StudentKeyCreator.exe
7.        Copy Site Code from StudentKeyCreator, paste to the 5.
8.        Generate Key
9.        Use the key
10.        Result - "Error Updating Key"

First off, are you trying to find key for Matrix 6 or student key creator?
Both are in the threads here :)
For Matrix I think your trying for licence duration unlimited should be days and then try for 30 days.
That gets you started.
You have different steps mixed for different programs here.
Use ckinfo and the script function only, it's easier and will get you good key.

By using ckinfo i get all info, but in or by what file (name) i have to save it? Because i was trying before use ckinfo and save as liscad.ckInfo but the result was "Error Updating Key"

You save the .key file ckinfo generates.
The .key file is hidden file on your computer.
Make sure you back the original .key file.
Also, no spaces the file length is 26 byte long.

If you look back in the thread in the forum Matrix has been fixed.
I assume this is where you got the site code from?

Sometimes under documents & settings for your user name.

Make sure you show hidden & system files.

Tools tab
Folder options
View tab
Show hidden files and folders
Hide protected operating system files is unchecked
Apply

Don't use windows scan, you should find this .key file by hand very easy
