mozzie i messed up everything was working and i updated matrix 6 it said up date avalible when i did this it then changed to matrix key programmer i had to uninstall it now my sitecode is C233C2C174E3BDF803  IF CANT HELP ME AGAIN I UNDERSTAND SORRY.

I am learning also.
You search in either the main .exe of the program or look also in the .dll files.
Located in C:\windows\system32
Look for a file with the program name
It's supposed to be in plain text.
Good luck, post back and someone will help.

Not sure how he found it yet however.

Is usually in a dll file called *defender or *dfnr where *
is progarm name or something like Oip.

Dr Pete , today i configured a v7.1 crypkey sdk and it will open programs
with v5.2 ,v5.4,v6.1 and v6.5 crypkey libraries.All products of the same company
but with differing application numbers.So in answer to your question about v7.1
being able to lic your progarm with v6 libraries i'd say yes.

Yes is harder than i thought; not the typical
layout i am used to.I even unpacked the msi
package but still not find user key.

I think is in the student key creator but not
in usual string values.

So, I would think it's possible to modify to get more than number of days?

All the tools I have don't accept the key length thou.

A lot of these programs have a little conversion
going on after key is taken from user32 message box.
I think is a little extra the company software people
put in to bolster crypkey protection.

Dude if you only want to extend the trial period
just copy your key from *key file which will be in program
directory as "hidden file".
We still on this gem vision program right ; well we have
a userkey supplied Yinhuo - (from where he got i not to sure)
well crypkey program dont care where site key come from when it
checks it every x amount of milliseconds so long as is valid key
it all ok. I do a lot myself.
Can use a ckinfo script to "createkey site" and extend trial.
And just repaste in.

Thanks for the tip about the key file, I don't think I tried that.
Regarding skg7 program, do we have to find site code also or regarding your comment in the other thread about reading the manual ( I have read the manual at least 3 times and don't find information)
I did discover that by searching for text of site code, master key won't get me anywhere, I need to find the code where the program calls the site code from to find it.
It would be real helpful to find a program where a known key file is instead of searching through the entire system 32 file system.
I have mapped out on the computer everything that is new from a fresh install and compared to what gets installed with crypkey.
Just getting started with the list going through it with both IDA and Olydbg.
The big problem is I might just miss the code :(
There was a post regarding the skg7 program but was too cryptic regarding how the program was licensed, the reference to a file that I don't have supposed to be installed with crypkey V7 but I sure don't have it.
So I just assumed it used the same license protection and I have been searching for the site code and master key.

use ckinfo to create a site code.

As to how to configure the sdk 7.1 its so
easy just look at the configuration file that
comes with it.

I looked in all sytem32 dll files for userkey 
after install and preinstall it not there.It must
be in student key creator where Yinhuo say he
got- but perhaps not in string format i accustomed to.

I don't need sdk 7.1 I just assumed it used the same protection so it became another example file for me to learn on.

I think I might have better luck instead of not being sure if I missed a file the site code and master key
is in to map the clean installed drive.
It's one of the mini xp versions minimal drivers and only 2 minutes to
image and put back after 15 days expires. While I test is also poor mans fix ;) for program!

Yinhuo said he found files in the .exe for student key creator.
I remember in 1 of the threads there was a picture of the keys in the code script.
I'll try to find that picture might help with my searching.
