General Overview:
The Business Critical organization is responsible for delivery of the highest level of service and support available to SYMANTEC End User customers.
? The Business Critical Engineer is responsible for technically supporting Symantec’s Enterprise level products
? The BCE will be instrumental in meeting cross service objectives within BCS accounts. BCE’s work with support, account managers, sales, professional services and all levels at the customer.
? The BCE identifies opportunities to provide proactive, preventative activities to reduce the number of issues experienced and optimize SYMANTEC solutions and services.
Responsibilities:
? Ability to understand and provide high level technical support on Symantec’s Enterprise level products
? Assist technical support with case resolution as needed
? Ability to travel to the customer location and perform plans of action to resolve technical issues
? Deliver customized proactive services to assigned BCS customers
? Understand and communicate technical updates on open issues
? Develop strong relationships with internal personnel in all functional areas of SYMANTEC
? Assist the account team to maintain high customer satisfaction levels
? Available 24x7 on-call for each assigned BCS accounts.
Essential Requirements:
? At least 5 years’ experience within the information technology industry with some experience in the software industry
? Proven technical experience engaging customers with enterprise level solutions
? Proven problem analysis and trouble shooting skills
? Possess the ability to work with various levels of contacts at the customer and within Symantec.
? Exhibits effective relationship building skills and ability to build confidence at a senior level

Qualifications:
? 3+ years in a corporate support environment with previous customer facing experience.
? In-depth knowledge of Symantec Antivirus product family (Symantec Antivirus, Client Security, Norton Enterprise Antivirus and Client Firewall).
? In-depth knowledge of Symantec's Vulnerability Management product family (Enterprise Security Architecture, Event Collector, Event Manager, and Early Warning).
? In-depth knowledge of Symantec AS/Content Filtering product family (Mail Security, Web Security, Brightmail).
? Specific or related experienced in technical support of Windows 2000/XP/2003, UNIX and Linux.
? Strong expertise in networking, TCP/IP and name resolution.
? Strong expertise in malware propagation and mitigation methodologies.
? Ability to explain complex security issues to all levels of a customer’s management team.
? Strong background in virus removal and enterprise security concepts.
? Basic database skills in MS SQL and Exchange.
? Industry recognised accreditation.
? Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related area.
? Education qualification: A Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
? Technical requirements:
o Minimum 3 years of testing experience.
o Minimum 1 year of work experience in software installation/migration
o Comprehensive understanding of test methodologies and techniques.
o Experience of MSI packaging tools Wise Shield/InstallShield
o Ability to understand MSI patches , transforms , MSI merge modules, macros and custom action
o Ability to detect and understand conflicts in MSI packages and troubleshoot MSI applications
o C/C++, at least one script language (Perl, Python, Ruby, TCL...)
o Experience of Ant/Make/Cruise Control is a plus

Responsibilities:
The major responsibilities of this position include developing and maintaining installation, configuration, upgrade and deployment tools for Symantec Storage Foundation, Symantec Cluster Server and other products. The installation involves creating and deploying operating system level packages on Solaris, AIX, HP and Linux. This is a senior software engineering level professional with demonstrated experience in developing large scale, high performance software. Incumbents in this position are capable of performing all assigned duties with no assistance and are cross train on multiple Unix, Linux and Windows platforms. The candidate has strong understanding of Unix, Linux, OS packages; can setup new projects from initial project definitions; recommend and develop new tools to further Installation/Upgrade/deployment of the products.
Required Skills:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of problem solving principles;
Must have very strong knowledge of either Perl and Unix shell programming languages.
Well developed debugging skills.
Excellent knowledge of Solaris, AIX, HP or Linux operating systems.
Unix Administration Experience is a big plus.

JOB POSITION: Sr SQA Engineer -Mobile
Qualifications
The individual must have a combination of solid in-depth knowledge of QA, QA's goals, working with QA and non-QA groups, and extensive background in solid test coverage of complex commercial client and server applications. He/She is responsible for providing Quality Assurance for mobile based technologies. This will include the creation of manual test suites for devices and a test harness for front end testing, automating UI test cases in Windows Mobile and Symbian, defining test plans and test specifications, execution of test cases, and reporting product failures. Following project milestones, design, implement, document, and/or execute tests; evaluate and communicate results; and investigate product features (including ad hoc testing). The candidate will be expected to communicate clearly and effectively.

This team troubleshoots and releases product revisions and solutions for incidents reported by our corporate customers.
The SQA Specialist will be part of a multi-product engineering support team.
The successful candidate will troubleshoot customer defects and provide quality assurance on maintenance releases.
In addition, they will actively participate in the QA process through requirements/design analysis and the development
of test strategies and test plans for internal and external products. This person will work closely with the developer
to isolate and resolve issues. The candidate will work on problems where analysis of situations or data requires an
in-depth evaluation of various factors. The position calls for an advanced level troubleshooter that can work with
problem areas of the product. This position may require some customer interaction.
A successful SQA Specialist must have expert-level ability in two or more areas of testing, products,
or technologies. With minimal supervision, the SQA Specialist must be able to suggest, implement, and evaluate
approaches to testing strategies across a wide variety of platforms and Symantec products. The candidate must
be highly organized and able to manage time while working in a rapid software development process.
The position requires a minimum of 4 years of SQA experience in a similar environment. The SQA Specialist must have
a background in QA methodologies. Experience testing software on multiple Microsoft Windows operating systems is
required. Must have experience with networking, general desktop, and client/server software applications. The
candidate must be able to troubleshooting basic defects, networking, and operating system problems. She or he must
have a team-player attitude and the ability to work in a multi-tasking fast paced environment. Must be able to
