翻译记忆

Radialix 2 采用翻译记忆技术。翻译记忆是一个数据库，记录是不同语言间相互匹配的段落。Radialix 2 具有自动翻译的功能，以翻译记忆库中的项为基准对照已翻译的文本并当找到一个匹配项时用找到的项替换目标语言中的原始段落，同时也支持用模糊匹配翻译记忆库中的项自动翻译段落。

支持 UNICODE

Radialix 2 使用 Unicode 处理文本。这意味着它在任何语言中支持编辑并创建本地化的文件，包括那些使用 2 字节编码的字符集(比如：中文、日文等等)

内置编辑器

Radialix 2 不仅仅是提供了编辑文本的功能；它同时支持可视化编辑窗体、对话框以及菜单。要编辑图像、图标以及光标，需要使用外部编辑器。

用 PROMT 8 翻译

要翻译文本、单词以及表达式，Radialix 2 可以使用一台 PROMT 8 机器翻译系统。

文件格式

本软件支持下列的文件格式：

1、 Win32 可执行文件(.exe, .dll, ...)

2、 使用 Borland Delphi (C++ Builder) 版本 5 以及更高版本创建的 Win32 可执行文件(.exe， .dll， ...)

3、 Win32 二进制资源文件(.res)

4、 .NET Framework 程序集文件，版本 1，1.1，2  以及 3 (.exe, .dll, ...)  

5、 .NET Framework 二进制资源文件，版本 1，1.1，2 以及 3 (.resources)

6、 INI 格式的配置文件。

Radialix 2 能够生成本地化的文件，包括多语言的文件、本地化的资源以及程序集文件，这取决于源文件的类型。

Radialix 2 支持从不同格式的文件中导入翻译和翻译记忆，也支持导出翻译和翻译记忆到不同格式的文件中，包括 TMX(翻译记忆交换)以及 CSV(逗号分隔的值)。

不再需要十六进制编辑器

Radialix 2 不仅允许本地化标准资源而且还允许本地化内嵌在应用程序代码中的字串 - 非标字串(hard-coded strings)。除附加的内置工具外，Radialix 2 发行了包括 IDA 反汇编器的 RDMAP 插件(出处：http://www.hex-rays.com/idapro/)在内的工具套，这些工具从本质上改进了搜索的质量与编辑非标字串的能力。现在毫不夸张地说你可以使用它翻译本地化的字符串长度超出原始文本长度的任何字符串。

Introduction
            
Welcome to Radialix 2, the application and file localization solution.

Intuitive user interface, automatic translation, localization validity check, debugger and other features of Radialix 2 will let you simplify and speed up the localization of your applications.

Radialix 2 can be beneficial to both software developers and translators.

Translation Memory

Radialix 2 uses the Translation Memory technology. Translation Memory is a database, where the records are fragments in different languages matching one another. Radialix 2 has an automatic translation function, which compares the text being translated against items in the translation memory and when a match is found replaces the original fragment with the one found in the target language. Also supported is the automatic translation of fragments with fuzzy matches in the translation memory.

UNICODE Support

Radialix 2 uses Unicode for working with texts. This means that it supports editing and creating localized files in any languages, including those that use two-byte character sets (Chinese, Japanese, etc.)

Built-in Editors

Radialix 2 offers more than just editing text; it also supports visual editing of forms, dialogs, and menus. For editing images, icons and cursors, the application uses external editors.

Translating with PROMT 8

For translating text, individual words and expressions, Radialix 2 can use a PROMT 8 machine translation system.

File Formats

The software supports the following file formats:

1. Win32 executables (.exe, .dll, ...)

2. Win32 executables (.exe, .dll, ...) created with Borland Delphi (C++ Builder) version 5 and higher

3. Win32 binary resources (.res)

4. .NET Framework assemblies, versions 1, 1.1, 2 and 3   (.exe, .dll, ...)  

5. .NET Framework binary resources, versions 1, 1.1, 2 and 3  (.resources)

6. Configuration files in the INI format.

Depending on the type of source files, Radialix 2 can generate localized files, including multilingual files and localized resource and assembly files.

Radialix 2 supports importing and exporting translations and translation memory to files of different formats, including TMX (Translation Memory eXchange) and CSV (Comma Separated Value).

HEX-Editor No Longer Needed

Radialix 2 allows localizing not only resources but also strings embedded in the application code - hard-coded strings. In addition to the built-in tools, the Radialix 2 distribution includes the RDMAP plugin for the IDA disassembler http://www.hex-rays.com/idapro/, which allows improving essentially the quality of search and  capabilities for editing hard-coded strings. Now for literally any strings you can use a translation, the length of which exceeds the length of the original text.
