What is BIOS Probe? BIOS Probe is a Windows-based BIOS flasher, similar to Award Winflash utility. This utility is a command line-based utility to flash the BIOS binary to the BIOS chip directly within Windows 2000/XP. The source code is available under GPL even if it's not stated explicitly in the current version of the code. It's GPL because it's the Windows port of the open source 'flash and burn' utility from the freebios project ( http://freebios.cvs.sourceforge.net/freebios/freebios2/util/flash_and_burn/), with some enhancement. I've planned to add more features and do a major refactoring to the current version of the code to remove the remaining quick-hacks. Because I'm so busy right now, please read the very short how-to below if you are interested to add something to BIOS Probe. It's imperative to read the source code to ensure that the how-to is correct, in-case there is a mismatch, it's an error in the how-to because I wrote it in a very short time with only simple double check against the latest code that you can download here.
