busTRACE v6.0
Hey hey hey kids, Team EDGE is back once again!
We simply love this program enough that we coded both a dongle
creator program for guys who have a SanDisk Micro Cruzer USB Flash
stick ($5 online) and we did a nice little dongle emulator driver
for those of you who prefer this method.
So people enjoy this awesome program, we sure do.
busTRACE 6.0 is a comprehensive bus and device analysis tool in use
by leading system OEMs, peripheral OEMs, software developers, USB
developers, and storage developers all over the world.
busTRACE 6.0 provides a suite of applications designed to help you
perform advanced bus and device analysis.
Capture I/O activity on your computer or any computer, busTRACE 6.0
includes the ability to capture and analyze storage class I/O
activity within your Windows PC.
Under Windows 2000 (and above), busTRACE also allows you to capture
and analyze all low-level USB bus activity.
Bus Architectures Supported:
busTRACE 6.0 can capture and analyze storage device I/O activity
(e.g. hard drives, tape drives, CD/DVD/HD/BD drives, jukeboxes,
etc.) on a variety of bus architectures including:
- IDE/ATA/ATAPI - Serial ATA - Serial ATAPI
- SCSI - iSCSI - Serial Attached SCSI
- Fibre Channel - RAID - USB 1.0 or 2.0
- 1394 / Firewire - Multipath I/O (MPIO) - and more!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Unzip and Unrar.
2a. If you have a SanDisk Cruzer Micro 128MB to 2GB USB Flash Stick
we have included a tool that you can make your own dongle with!
Plug in your Flash Stick and run: \EDGE\create\create.exe
to make your very own dongle.
If you did this step then you dont need the ones listed below
since you are the lucky owner of a fully feature dongle now.
2b. If you dont have a SanDisk Cruzer Micro stick we supply a nice
dongle emulator, here is how to install it:
Start the Control Panel and select Add Hardware and follow
the wizard. Below are the steps under XP:
* Have you already connected the hardware to your computer?
[Yes]
* From the list below, select an installed hardware device...
[scroll down and select "Add a new hardware device"]
* What do you want the wizard to do?
[Install the hardware that I manually select from a list]
* If you do not see the hardware category you want, click
Show All Devices.
[Show All Devices]
* Select the manufacturer and model...
[Press the "Have Disk" button]
* Copy manufacturer's files from:
[Navigate to the EDGE\Emu directory]
Windows 2000 only: if you are prompted to assign resources,
select cancel and installation will complete.
3. Run BusTrace_Setup6_0_025.exe and complete the installer,
dont run the program yet.
4. Run BusTrace_6_0_035_up(DataCode-20070306).exe to upgrade
to v6.0.035, dont run the program yet.
5. Copy inject.exe from the EDGE dir to where you installed into
e.g.: c:\Program Files\busTRACE 6.0\
And run it, thats all, emulator should be installed and
injected. You can now enjoy this awesome software.
6. Enjoy!
PS. Do NOT upgrade/check for updates thought the internet.
