The Security Engineer will be part of an elite team responsible for the security of a large Multinational Enterprise network. This person will also be responsible for the design, administration, implementation, Tier 3 support and operation of the client’s internet gateways, network firewalls and complementary subsystems (IDS, Probes, Proxies, etc.).
This person will be a technical/engineer, hands-on person who can perform vulnerability assessments on networks and systems, make recommendations for improving security, and implement those recommendations.

Required Skills:
• Candidate must have 7-10 years experience in supporting security devices in a Global Network environment, strong technical and troubleshooting skills, and familiar with SOC audits, excellent script-writing skills, and excellent communication skills. Candidate must be available for 24x7 support. Candidate must have strong customer relationship skills and interpersonal skills in working with cross-functional team members. Excellent written and verbal skills are as important as technical skills. Candidate must have the confidence to address upper management and aprise them of outages in critical situations. Take a leadership role and provide technical direction and implementation support for Internets, Extranets and VPNs.
• Significant experience designing, implementing (including installation), managing and operation of Network Appliance systems. This includes but is not limited to Internet, Net Caching, L-DAP Radius Servers, and Web Proxies.
• Significant Firewall experience with Checkpoint, SUN and Nokia products. At least 7 - 10 years of experience configuring and maintaining firewalls.
• Significant VPN/IPSEC and Intrusion Detection engineering and deployment experience on Cisco and Nortel Connectivity platforms.
• Significant Web Proxy engineering and deployment experience on BlueCoat/NetApp Proxy platforms.
• Knowledge in operating systems such as Unix, NT, XP, Win2000, and 98.
• Knowledge in DNS, DHCP, WINS, active directory, group policy a plus.
• Experience with global, multi-vendor hybrid network environments.

Additional job requirements:
• Participate in the Gloabal incident response team and coordinate any security incidents on a 24/7 basis as needed.
• Recommend standards and policies governing the security of firewall and IDS development, deployment, and operation.
• Assess the severity of newly discovered security vulnerabilities.
• Perform troubleshooting on hardware, IPSEC, LAN/WAN network, and Security issues.
• Protocol analysis using in-depth knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, IPX, SNA, H323, SIP, etc
• Enforcing best practices surrounding security incident response.
• Systems documentation using Visio and MS Project.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 7 - 10 years experience required in Security and IP Services disciplines. The candidate must be a self-starter and demonstrate the ability to work within a team environment as well as in a standalone role.
