codename Goldeneye, is a test release of the 1.0.0 version of VLC. It introduces many new codecs, various playback core improvements (frame-by-frame, live-recording, instant pausing, etc...), interface improvements, new features and many bugfixes. We encourage people to test and report regressions that could have crept in this release.
