AppzNet Anti-Rootkit Pack 1.0
"A rootkit is (almost always) malware which consists of a program (or combination of several programs) designed to take fundamental control (in Unix terms "root" access, in Windows terms, "Administrator" access) of a computer system, without authorization by the system's owners and legitimate managers. Typically, rootkits act to obscure their presence on the system through subversion or evasion of standard operating system security mechanisms. Often, they are Trojans as well, thus fooling users into believing they are safe to run on their systems. Techniques used to accomplish this can include concealing running processes from monitoring programs, or hiding files or system data from the operating system." (Wikipedia)
I feel that anti-rootkit programs are too specific to be included in the next Portable Pack, but too important to be just forgotten - even if most AVs has already integrated anti-rootkit protection at some level. So, here is the first AppzNet Anti-Rootkit Pack - and maybe the last. We'll see.
Every application folder has a rEADME.txt with a short description and links that can help the user to keep apps updated. I should have compiled all this info in one HTML file, but I only had this idea in this very moment.
