Finally I got back to you as i have been unable to log on. I did a search for .key and it found it in C:\Program files\the correct program and when i open it gives me some large code

i insist someone who put some manual to use the crypkey step by step to get the keys, it will better for everybody,i tryed but i dont know how it works

I read all the posts here and nobody clarify some things...
So, some hints here:

- MASTERKEY and USERKEY can be founded almost "in clear" the program (could be packed or not, or in some program libraries)
- in trial versions a SITEKEY is generated in a .key file !
- also the RESTRICTIONKEY is found in .rst file
- .ent file I couldnt determine any info from it but doesnt matter
- some of the sitecodes founded could not be read (wrong size) by ckInfo so if the program is trial, don't bother, the above keys are enough

With all above keys (4) properly founded (validation should be always ok), read all their info with ckInfo, calculate SITECODE and then SITEKEY
Put the SITEKEY in the .key file (usually found in program folder with 26bytes) and u are done!

              Thank you for your help as its needed. I do not have any .rst or .ent files on my computer Where can the masterkey or site key be found. I have used ollydbg to locate this but can not find the information that i need.

I do find information in the .key folder and it contains is large code

What can be used here and i am having problems generating a correct userkey.

Zippy, .key folder is WRONG, its .key file usually 14 or 26 bytes. Generated
when program is run for first time.

It's pretty obvious mcosmin either understands this protection or
just read all the posts, either way the answers are all here.

People are here that will help but please show you have put some thought
into this, or you just asking for easy solution and don't want to learn?

Just post sitecode and someone will give you a 30+ day trial ;)

Like I said, you had it real close, just change the key options or levels.
Past thread has information which is correct. Use this script for good key.

I don't understand totally the whole process... I had very few programs to play and I don't have much time to spare in this sense. Also indeed I read carefully every post here about the keygen tool.

My problem was the fact that SITECODE was not generated by the program :( and has a lot of characters. Debugging not helped either. So I've found that .rst file and RESTRICTEDKEY was the missing pieces in the puzzle, and the SITECODE was reconstructed.

The program I learned on (and got lots of help here) the sitecode
was extra characters also.

Using the hidden files and mozzie found for me in older version of same
program my user & master keys.

I need a bigger hard drive, most of the programs I like to test won't
fit on this small 6gb drive

i sense from the threads that matrix changes
a bit when one updates it.
I dont have the rhino program to make it run

The latest program with v7.1 Crypkey was FlexMail.
Once the program start for the first time the trial key files are stored in the program folder.
Try to find the .key file to extract the SITEKEY and obtain
the program parameters (key level, key options etc) and important USER KEY HASH.
Try to find .rst file to extract the important SITE KEY ENCRYPTION KEY IDS - 0xhh:0xhh.
Then use the keygen tool to obtain the SITECODE by using for example "/createkey sitecode6" parameter. So you dont need to start application a second time to see the SITECODE because is already founded in this way !

Once u have SITECODE, USERKEY and the other program parameters (account number, application id etc) from the MASTERKEY and SITEKEY put them in ckInfo script and voila.

I don't have any information regarding missing rst file or else, always were there somewhere.

             I have changed all the i information to suite your script and still have an issue. It accepts the key but not a valid licence. This is printed when the licence is entered

                           It will open all the options as above but will not give a valid lic. I have the wrong userkey as i just copied it from this forum. How do i use ck**fo get the correct userkey.

if StudentKeyMaker give you "Key is Updated" it automatically replace the SiteKey in .key file,
so basically i don’t think that you need replace the .key file with new one. But even then the
problem stays the same – after Key Update - "Hardware key not found". Maybe we need create/duplicate .key file
and place somewhere else  ANY IDEAS ????

I have been reading this thread for many days and finally i got matrix6.0 working.

I found the userkey hash from a pair of working sitecode and key, with the xor technique suggested by crypkey expert yinhou.

So now, Matrix 6.0 SR0 is working nicely.

I sincerely thankful to DrPete, yinhuo.

Now, this perticular matrix 6.0 software has new update in which it has even more challenges.

They have given full access to software only to the people who have crypkey USB.

Optionally they have SR1 update for students, who dont have crypkey USB but can use MatrixStudentKeyProgrammer.

I have extracted the main, MatrixStudentKeyProgrammer executable and its support files. They are attached.

Now, the MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT, THEY HAVE CHANGED THE USERKEY AND MASTERKEY.

THEY HAVE NOW A NEW GUI FOR STUDENTKEYGENERATOR.

WHICH IS CODED DIFFERENTLY. I tried to disassemble the executable and oldbg and i cant find the MasterKey and Userkey.

Earlier, it was easy to find, now its a big challenge, because they have used API integration as well.

I am daily spending many hours to find master/userkey.

If any of you guys are interested in this new challenge, then it will be great.

Yes I know about automatic replacement of .key file. I just tried to do as DrPete advised.

Bimba, I think all our unluck is because of 7.1 version of crypkey. Other guys from this forum I think have different installation of Matrix.
That is why we can't find userkey and masterkey (what is it for? it is never used in scripts for sitekey generation)
and that is why we have error Hardware key not found.
And I think we need to make valid .lic file. Untill this we can't start the program.


The problem is that we have positive answer from StudentKeyMaker about sitekey (so I think Userkey from this forum is good),
but when we launching program it generates error Hardware key not found.

well...

1. userkey and masterkey in this forum discussed earlier are absolutely true. but that is for the first release of Matrix 6.0. Meaning, not with SR1 and SR2.

in SR1 original matrix.exe also get replaced with new executable, which have different userkey/master  key i guesss.

2. i think you have a matrix 6.0 but, you might have updated it with SR1 or SR2.

actually, Gemvision guys have replaced student key updater with online registration tool called "Matrix Key Programmer.exe"

which basically, collects the generated site code in presence of USB crypkey device and without showing it to public, it directly sends it to it GV servce. that too only, when you supply  proper customer name and company name.

so, to have a proper sitecode generated you need following informations.

a. name
b. company name
c. crypkey usb.

without this 3 things, it will get failed and thats why it wont send the sitecode to a server.. and sitekey also wont be downloaded automatically.

3. Other then above standard crypkey usb protections, the software can be still made working with student key without crypkey usb. for that, they have a small "Matrix Student Key SR1" update.

Which update basically just paste's 4 files in the existing setup.. which is uploaded by me in this thread yesterday.

which basically, is a tool, when being given a proper intallation number, will create a site code and will ask for site key.

Now, this is the only way to start the programm.

IF WE SOMEHOW MODIFY THE MATRIX STUDENT KEY SR1 PROGRAMMER TO ACCEPT OUR INSTALLATION CODE, OR IF WE GENERATE SOME GOOD INSTALLATION CODE THEN, WE WILL BE ABLE TO SEE THE SITE CODE AND MIGHT ABLE TO GENERATE SOME SITE KEY'S AS WELL.

THIS SMALL PROGRAMM WORKS THE SAME WAS AS OUR PREVIOUS "STUDNETKEYCREATOR" WAS WORKING BUT THIS TIME THIS PROGRAMM IS PROTECTED WITH TWO NEW THINGS. (Image attached.)

well, rhino4 with SP4b wont work with original matrix 6.0 installation.

matrix 6.0 original basically only supports rhino4 sr3.

Not sure which update I did, might have been sr3 :(
Sure is a huge program that matrix v6, had enough trouble running this on main
computer which isn't used for "testing programs"

Before I remove it I will see if I can update to the newest version and give
it a "test drive"

For testing Matrix SR1 student version...

you need to have following installations done nicely.

(a) Rhino4 main installation + SR4b update

(b) Matrix 6.0 main installation + SR1 update [this is a matrix SR1 update, which is not available for download. But i believe, if you can download SR2 from the above link then you will then just need to fix the key with Student update software below]

(c) Student Update [hxxp://www.gemvision.com/matrix60/Matrix60SR1Student.exe]

Optinally, if you directly want to test  the Matrix 60 SR1 student key programmer, without any installation above,

Download the attached file and try to fix it. It need only crypkey drivers and "crypserv.exe" file running.

do them a favour .

Good thing about this forum can edit previous 
posts once everyone has info.

I got other problems with other programs; but i am
curious to see some solutions to your problems; so
hopefully will get time to look into.
