Thinstall is now VMware ThinApp!
We are pleased to announce that Thinstall has become VMware ThinApp and is now integrated into the VMware family of desktop solutions. ThinApp dramatically improves application packaging and deployment through agentless application virtualization that plugs into existing tools and processes — eliminating disruption, conflict and costs throughout the delivery life cycle.

Great new features. ThinApp includes a wealth of new features including Application Link, which enables dynamic linking between VMware ThinApp packages, and Application Sync, which lets you execute application updates to through a secure Internet connection.
Integration with other VMware solutions. ThinApp plugs directly into existing infrastructure and integrates seamlessly with VMware VDI, VMware ACE, VMware Fusion and other virtual desktop solutions.
Pain-free migration. Moving to ThinApp doesn't require any migration tools, and existing Thinstall customers with current maintenance contracts can freely migrate to ThinApp 4.
World-class support. All Thinstall customers with existing support contracts will be converted to Gold support for the remainder of their contract agreement. For customers that require additional services, VMware also offers a two-day jumpstart engagement on best practices and getting started with your ThinApp deployment.
Pricing and Availability
VMware ThinApp Suite and Client licenses are perpetual The ThinApp Suite now includes a copy of VMware Workstation and 50 client licenses along with the ThinApp Setup Capture Packager for the list price of $5,000. The client licenses are still priced at $39 per endpoint.
