A book that is titled "disassembling code; IDA PRO and Softice" dedicates so less to the core topics. The material in almost all chapters could have been downloaded from the internet. The book talks about basic assembly, the details of which can be obtained from the internet, next it talks about ollydbg which again can be downloaded from the internet and finally so little for IDA PRO and Softice. This was a book i was looking forward to and now i regret. The book should have gone in depth on disassembly, reverse engineering and IDA PRO. It should have also gone in depth on IDC scripting etc. No dont go for this. One can get this information on the internet.
