This is another, extended GUI for UPack from Dwing.
You know the problem? You compiled your program and it is big. Smaller is better, because less loading time, less space on disk - ok, drives are huge today, but you are idealist and fascinated at little filesizes.
Now you found Dwings great exe-packer Upack. You play a little with the parameters... The result filesizes are different... Is it possible to save again 20 Bytes? Try try try...
You change something in your code - the parameters for the last ideal filesize doesn't work again. Ok, try again...
Now you take the UPO-Tool, the UPack-Optimizer by MATHEsoft.
This tool plays automatical with all combinations of LC and FB and display the results in a table. After stop or finish, the table is sorted. Save the table for analysing or select a row you like the result. Press "Pack to smallest" or "Pack to selected" for the filesize you want, e.g. a whole filesize of 178000 or 178500 or funny 178871 or 178888 or something else what looks nice for filesize
Useless you think? It is! But your file is scrambled inside and other without great debuggers and only with hexeditors can't manipulate you program. Ok, really crackers cracks nearly all and packed file with UPack are not crackprotected - but perhaps you check a special filesize, if the file is manipulated... so it is useful.
Also UPO manage the file and backupfile - easy to restore the original file after packing. UPO supports the Send-To-function.
All normal needed parameters are checked by default.
