Role & Opportunity:
The Surface Team is seeking qualified candidates for a SDET with experience in OS image verification, firmware and driver testing.  You will be responsible for the design verification and qualification of OS images, firmware and drivers for different subsystems as well as the development of tools and infrastructure to automate that testing.  The position involves working closely with electrical engineers, industrial designers, hardware engineers, software engineers, design verification engineers, component engineers, and program managers, across product development, compliance/safety, and reliability organizations.  The main test methodology used will be black box and grey box testing.  Other responsibilities may include updating test plan documentation, creating test cases, executing test cases, debugging test automation and test case failures.

Qualifications:
• Minimum BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar field.
• 4 years’ experience designing and\or testing firmware and drivers or OS images.
• 2 years’ experience in C/C++ programming languages
• Ability to write test documentation such as test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Good understanding on Windows operation system architecture.
• Good English communication skill both oral and written required.
• Project management skills. Ability to take ownership of assigned platforms and/or subsystems, and be responsible for test deliverables and schedules.
• Strong communication skills required, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms.
• Must be able to plan work, and work to a plan adapting as necessary in a rapidly evolving environment.

Preferred Experiences:
• Preferred experience in developing and\or testing low level code (firmware, drivers, OS, …)
• Preferred experience in creation of automation and SW tools for validation of drivers/fw
• Preferred experience in management communication busses and protocols (I2C, JTAG, SMBus),
• Preferred experience in FW system design, characterization and test
• Preferred experience in hardware prototype bring-up, debug, fault detection, failure analysis, and yield improvement.
• Preferred experience in touch subsystems.
• The ability to comprehend and assimilate technical concepts across multiple disciplines is a plus.
• International and domestic Travel will be required.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and self-driven.
