Pre-sales engineering, China:
• Tittle: Sales Engineer/ Security Testing Specialist
Job Purpose
Key Responsibilities
• Be active to develop market and customers, introduce Codenomicon’s services and advantage to customers as well as provide a professional solution
• Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
• Providing thorough technical and business understanding of customer’s needs and assist technical sales support to qualify and identify new opportunities
• Performing services like occasional security testing, security audits, demo and training assignments for customers
• Handling customer support requests
Qualifications
Education
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering
Experience
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial software development, test or customer support
Knowledge & skills
Technical
• Good experience with network protocols, ability to understand new protocols and specifications easily. Experience with network security would be an advantage.
• Proficient in the use of Unix/Linux and Windows systems
• Hands-on experience in configuring network equipment: routers, switches, VPN devices, VoIP systems, firewalls, proxies, server and client software
• Ability to use common network analysis tools: Wireshark/Nmap/ tcpdump/nc
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl, Ruby, shell scripts) , and programming experience would be an advantage.
Other
• Faster leaner , willing to study new technology
• Sales & service oriented, good skills to coordinate with customers, can communicate well with people in different levels/positions
• Ability to work independently and be highly responsible. Good report skills and understanding about how to work in a remote office.
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken
• Enjoyment and passion in solving customers' problems and educating customers
• Willing to travel, mostly within China but also occasional trainings etc. abroad
• Social character with great team work skills
• Patient in tackling difficult technical problems
• Experience in professional software customer support or testing would be an advantage
