Job Title: Engineer – EDI Development /Mapping - IT
Reporting to: Project Coordinator / Integration Team Leader
Travel: Some travel may be required
Position Overview:
Mapping development and migration for Schenker internal EDI platform
Position Accountabilities:
Ø Develop and maintain existing EDI mapping and customization of all inbound and outbound
messages.
Ø Developing forms for user reports;
Ø Job (event & session) set up, scheduling, & execution;
Ø Mapping of functional requirements to application supported business processes and the
identification of needed enhancements to satisfy requirements.
Ø Participate in the technical design of modifications by explaining requirements in user oriented, functional terms.
Ø Maintain systems documentation, working files and presentation portfolio for all aspects of the company*s Electronic Commerce Systems.
Ø Prepare functional specifications for required enhancements.
Ø Prepare test plans, test procedures, and test data to validate that completed modification fulfill the requirements of the initiating specification.
Ø Demonstrate the practitioner use of UNIX and Linux scripts as a means to accomplishing batch processing. Complete assigned project on time, within published scope and on budget.
Relevant Education Background, Hard Skill, Knowledge and Experience:
Ø Bachelor or above Degree in IT related majors.
Ø At least 2 years experience in the area of EDI development or supporting is highly preferred :
Ø X.12 and EDIFACT Standards, technical skills in http, ftp and AS2, popular EDI tools.
Ø Excellent English communication skill in reading / writing / listening / speaking.
Ø Project Management experience is preferred.
Ø Logistics / Freight Forwarding knowledge is a plus.
