THE FIRST CALL FOR PAPAERS: Internacinal workshop at at ICUMT: Fiber Optics at Access Network – Passive Optical Network – FOAN-PON.
I am honored to have this opportunity to invite you to be part of the first international workshop on the topic of "Fiber Optics in Access Network - Passive Optical Network -FOAN-PON" as a part of ICUMT 2010 Moscow (18-20. Oct 2010). I am using this opportunity to inform you that you are welcome to submit yours papers for the workshop.
-Economic feasibility was the main obstacle for the fast implementation of FTTH networks. But nowadays, when there are more than 30 million FTTH connections in the world, it is clear that the previous settings amended. One of the main drivers for growing number of FTTH connections was appearing PON network. Evolution of those networks from APON over GEPON and GPON to NGPON makes these technologies attractive for researchers and engineers. Also, PON network previously was designed for triple play services but today new services offers are expected. PON networks have also a expanding in a field of number users per one PON tree and expanding in distance.
-This workshop has a goal to collect the last research and engineering experience from all aspect PON network. There are four main parties: how it is connected to the rest of network, what is strategy for solving problem of bandwidth over PON, the research at the elements of PON network, and the new services on a user side.
-This is the First International Workshop at ICUMT on the topic of Fiber Optics in Access Network.
-The goal of this workshop is to gather large specter paper topics on this subject, so like: the new architectures, the new services in PON, type of fiber for PON, photonic fiber, measurement in PON, the burst laser diode, multi-wavelength optical sender/receaiver, the wireless extension in GPON network, the DSL extension in GPON network, improvement in DBA Algorithm, impact of fiber impairments at long reach PON, migration schemes, convergence of PONs, WDM-PON, colored PON, TDM over PON, TDM services in NG PON, Metro and Long Reach GPON, QoS in access network especialy in PON.
