[K-2010] Call for Papers: Beyond the internet? [Submission deadline 30 April 2010]
Dear Rock,
[Call for Papers: Beyond the Internet?] * [Submission deadline: 30 April 2010] * [http://itu-kaleidoscope.org/2010]
- The standardization sector of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in partnership with STES, GISFI and CMAI, with the technical co-sponsorship of IEEE Communication Society and supported by CISCO & Nokia Siemens Networks, is organizing the third Kaleidoscope academic conference titled BEYOND THE INTERNET? − INNOVATIONS FOR FUTURE NETWORKS AND SERVICES. The event will be held in Pune, India, 13-15 December 2010, at the kind invitation of the Indian Government.
- The deadline for the Call for Papers is 30 April 2010.
- This event will highlight multidisciplinary aspects of future Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) including future services and applications demand as well as social and economic impacts. The focus will be on innovative technologies and contributors might have to challenge the fundamental networking design principles of the Internet.
- This is a *PEER-REVIEWED* academic conference that aims at increasing the dialogue between experts working on the standardization of ICTs and academia. No participation fee will be charged.
- This academic conference is calling for original papers, from the world’s universities, industry and academic institutions.
- ACCEPTED PAPERS will be published in the proceedings, presented during the conference and made available in the IEEE Xplore online catalogue.
- CASH AWARDS of 5k, 3k and 2k USD will be granted to the best three papers, as judged by the organizing and programme committees.
- Authors presenting accepted papers who have not yet received a PhD title will also receive a YOUNG AUTHOR RECOGNITION CERTIFICATE.
- In addition to a local universities EXHIBITION, outstanding keynote speakers and invited papers, ITU Kaleidoscope 2010 will host STANDARDS CORNER, a series of standardization tutorials and JULES VERNE’S CORNER, a special space for science fiction writers and dreamers.
- The DEADLINE for paper proposal submission is 30 April 2010. NOTIFICATION OF PAPER ACCEPTANCE will be made by 30 July 2009.
